While many people know they need to eat well and exercise to be healthy, they often neglect a vital health component. Just as important as taking care of your body and physical health is seeing to your mental health. No matter who you are, health and wellness mean nurturing your body and mind. For millions of people, mental health issues can lead to larger issues and hamper one’s wellbeing. At Victory Bay, we understand the importance of caring for the whole individual. Take back your mental health with Victory Bay’s mental health intensive outpatient program (IOP).

Our mental health IOP provides treatment for people suffering from moderate to severe levels of mental health disorder(s) that interfere with their daily functioning, such as work performance, relationships, and health. Many of our clients enter our program feeling helpless and hopeless and need a solution to provide real change. This program aims to reduce mental health symptoms and increase overall wellness and quality of life through a holistic approach.

Treatment That Works Within Your Schedule

A mental health intensive outpatient program is a 12-week program consisting of a variety of therapeutic approaches designed to meet clients’ specific needs. The program is tailored to treat a variety of mental health disorders, including but not limited to:

  • Co-occurring Disorders
  • Anxiety Disorders
  • Depressive Disorders
  • Post-traumatic Stress Disorder
  • Personality Disorders
  • Bipolar Disorders
  • Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder

Our mental health IOP was developed with the working adult in mind. We understand that work, school, and appointments take priority during the daytime hours, which is why we developed an evening program. Our evening program runs from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m., three days per week for 12 weeks. This provides individuals with the flexibility they need to get the support they desire.

Our Mental Health IOP Has a Curriculum That Works

The program is based on a curriculum covering various areas related to managing mental symptoms to increase daily functioning. The curriculum was developed with a holistic approach created by a trained Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) clinician. The curriculum includes:

  • Psychoeducation about mental health disorders
  • Medication Management
  • Trauma-Focused Techniques
  • Emotional Regulation
  • Group Dynamics
  • Interpersonal Relationship Dynamics
  • Art Therapy
  • Goal Setting/Future Planning

We also make it a point to work with clients to design a plan that will most effectively address their unique issues. Within this program, clients can take advantage of several therapeutic modalities, such as:

  • Cognitive-behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
  • Trauma-Focused Interventions including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy
  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Mindfulness Interventions

Individuals will be provided with a Victory Bay Mental Health “Toolbox” upon intake. Corresponding to the program curriculum, the toolbox is a workbook that allows individuals to develop and track the coping skills learned within programming to have a comprehensive guide to reference upon completion.
