Evening Therapist PT/FT - Added 5/9/19

Reports to: Clinical Supervisor

Job Purpose Summary:

The primary therapist responsibilities include leading didactic and therapeutic groups, collaborating with case management, and providing individual counseling to client case load.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Interface with the director and other program staff in decision-making process involving clients and relay all findings during clinical staffing.
  • Utilize screening and assessment tools such as the PHQ-9, Columbia Scale, BAM, and related tools in the constructing the client’s treatment planning process.
  • Assess the counseling needs of the client
  • Assessing client for substance abuse diagnosis using DSM criteria in determining appropriate level of care based on ASAM criteria
  • Obtain previous records that are relevant to the current treatment episode
  • Preparing and providing the substance abuse counseling and co-occurring portions of the client treatment plan
  • Development of the client discharge/continuum of care plan to ensure transition to the appropriate levels of care.
  • Documenting all counseling and education services, assessments, reassessments, referrals and follow-up in the client’s clinical record.
  • Contact and coordination with referral sources, (i.e. legal, school, employer, etc.)
  • Facilitate needed interventions for crisis-orientated issues utilizing a multi-disciplinary team approach for assigned clients.
  • Facilitate group sessions, following the curriculum of the program.
  • Have knowledge of 12 step recovery programming and curriculum integration
  • Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point and OneDrive.

Job Type: Part-time or Full-time

Hours: Mandatory hours include Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings 5:30p-9:30p. Additional hours are available during both day and evening.

Requirements:

Must possess one of the following certifications in the State of New Jersey

  • LCADC
  • LCSW or LPC
  • LSW
  • LAC
  • CADC

Required Experience: 2-4 years’ experience working in a Drug & Alcohol Treatment Facility.

Salary Range: $40,000-$55,000 /year

Job Summary

  • Strengthen resources through collaboration with educational, community, practitioner, and outpatient and rehabilitation treatment partners.
  • Be responsible for monitoring and reporting referral volume, educating referring physicians, mental health practitioners, and potential clients and parents about our program’s outstanding treatment modalities and outcomes.
  • Minimum average of 5 face-to-face meetings per day
  • Host a minimum of 5 tours per month
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM
  • Attend area network events
